Sewing and Craftsmanship

Developing women’s handcraft skills by training them on industrial and craft sewing techniques allows them to market their products, thus enhancing their financial status and moving towards independence and a self-sustaining future.

This unit was refurbished in 2018 and four former trainees were hired on a full time basis to run it.

Crochet making was added to this section, participants in the training program started producing various designs exhibited along with the artisanal products in Makassed permanent exhibition. The center’s exhibition was launched in 2017 to allow clients and visitors to shop or even customize their own designs.
